Sustainable Tourism and Business Development in Regional Victoria

This unit may count as a capstone or an elective unit in your undergraduate or postgraduate degree

This intensive unit requires students to examine a broad range of social, cultural, legal and political issues that can impact on the strategy and operations of sustainable businesses operating in national and global business environments. A focus will be placed on Indigenous business and forms of governance allowing participants the opportunity to explore how different business models can affect change. Through the use of readings, case studies, and an analysis of current events students are confronted with some specific challenges of doing business in a socially and environmentally responsible context.

This unit focuses on developing skills, addressing various global and local issues and how they affect business, as well as aspects of corporate citizenship, cultural sensitivity and effective teamwork.
