The Centre for Global Business’s (CGB), Digital Economy Research Network (DERN) at Monash Business School invites you to a virtual round-table: The Digital Economy in the Time of COVID-19 and Beyond.
This round-table brings together experts from academia, industry and the policy circle to discuss how the digital economy is being transformed by COVID-19 and how it is likely to come out of the pandemic.

This round-table will be hosted by CGB Director, Professor Chongwoo Choe, and moderated by Dr Arthur Campbell, Department of Economics and a coordinator of DERN.
Speaker bios
Professor Deep Kapur
Professor Deep Kapur is the Director of Monash Centre for Financial Studies. Previously he held Managing Director positions at Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup Global Markets, Daiwa Capital Markets, and the event-driven hedge fund group Symphony Financial Partners.
Dr Stephen King
Dr Stephen King is Commissioner at the Productivity Commission, Australia. His previous roles include Commissioner at the ACCC, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University, and Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Fraser Thompson
Dr Fraser Thompson is the co-founder and Director of AlphaBeta, a strategy and economics consultancy. Prior to this, he worked at McKinsey and Company where he was a Senior Fellow at McKinsey Global Institute. He also worked as a consultant at the World Bank and the Boston Consulting Group.
Professor Simon Wilkie
Professor Simon Wilkie is the Head of Monash Business School. His previous roles include Chief Economist at the US Federal Communications Commission, Chief Economic Policy Strategist at Microsoft, and Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California.
