Even the best leaders can find it tough to stay grounded. Especially in an environment that’s getting more turbulent – where you’re expected to achieve more with less, and often held accountable for a system over which you have little control.
It can be all too easy to lose yourself in this instability, so it’s important to get a clear sense of what drives you as a leader. In this uniquely personal exploration of leadership we’ll do just that – diving deep into your energy levels, obstacles and emotional states, so that you can lead and inspire others with steadiness and positivity. No matter what’s going on around you.
What you'll learn
Over four weeks, each session will be grounded in contemporary theory, but quickly move to a personal exploration of the topic. Through expert facilitation by a seasoned leader, peer-supported discussions and personal reflection, you’ll learn simple frameworks and techniques you can put straight into action.
You’ll develop the critical skills to:
- understand the importance emotions play in a healthy and productive workforce
- clarify your deepest values and understand how they inform your leadership practice
- unlock your own "immunity to change" in order to continue your professional growth.
These skills will accelerate your ability to:
- build the personal resilience that contemporary leadership demands
- extend your repertoire of power and influence
- better lead and support your people and teams as they adjust to a different and constantly changing ‘normal’.
Each week, we’ll work on building a solid foundation for you to lead from – digging deep into your four realms of energy: spiritual, emotional, mental and physical.
Through this, you’ll discover how to manage your own energy, and the energy of those around you, to become a more impactful and inspiring leader.
Week by week, you’ll:
Build emotional intelligence
Learn what emotionally-intelligent behaviours at work look like and how they can impact performance, and begin examining your role as a steward of organisational energy.
Find your own power
Uncover where your power comes from and the influence this can give you, tapping into your physical and mental energy to understand how to be a more resilient leader.
Extend your sources of power
Find purpose in your leadership by exploring your most important personal values, looking into how your Spiritual Energy can help you connect to the things that matter most to you.
Unlock your immunity to change
Unpack what helps and hinders people getting on board with change.

For more than twenty-five years Cameron Houston has assisted organisations develop purposeful leaders and implement effective organisational change through his work as a practicing leader, educator, facilitator and executive coach.
Cameron has held senior and general management roles with National Australia Bank and Foxtel and knows what it is to be responsible for driving operational performance and leading organisational transformation. As an educator Cameron taught Leadership and Change Management within the Australian Graduate School of Management’s Executive MBA for 7 years and then spent another 9 years in Executive Education with Melbourne Business School.
Cameron is a high impact educator who brings a deep body of knowledge and a great love for learning that translates to lasting change for the individuals with whom he works. He creates a safe-to-fail development space where clients can explore both the inner game and outer game of their leadership practice. His approach to learning draws on contemporary theory but remains firmly grounded by his real-world organisational experience.

Cameron has worked extensively in private sector settings, including organisations from the financial services, oil & gas, mining services, health, consumer goods, agricultural and construction industries. He has also worked in a range of public sector settings, including health, public transport, higher education and utilities. This work has taken him to Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the USA.
