Caroline Sanz-Veitch

Caroline is a Senior Lecturer (Practice) at Monash alongside her role as the Global Product and Programs Manager at Skafold. She was the Deputy Director of Entrepreneurship at Monash in 2021-22 and was involved in the early design of Monash’s foundational Entrepreneurship units. She fell into academia due to her love for teaching people how to think differently, do business differently and be able to have impact while doing it. A woman of many hats, her goal is to be creatively disruptive in empowering people to advance positive change that is impactful, sustainable and uncompromising.

From an industry perspective, Caroline has worked across agency, not-for-profit, corporate and startup. Her keen interest in human behaviour, new economic models and blending design with business saw her move from running her own women-focused fitness business to working in organisational psychology with global organisations SHL and Chandler Macleod, before moving into the social enterprise space, consulting into the for-purpose and not-for-profit sector and proudly running a Social Enterprise Accelerator Program across the east coast of Australia for The Difference Incubator. Her more recent roles have been leading Strategic and Service Design teams at Isobar Australia and Beyond Blue, using human-centred design and systems thinking practices to improve how organisations design business models, products and services.

At the heart of it all, Caroline is a people person who funnels all her energies into balancing community, purpose and planet. When she's not designing new initiatives or teaching classes, she's in the garden working on new crops that she can cook a mega feast with, outdoors in the bush with her Vizsla pup or moulding up new creations in a pottery studio.
