Dr Fara Khalid is a Research Fellow at Monash Business School. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and later obtained her MBA from Charles Sturt University. She then attained her PhD in Management from RMIT University in 2012 with her thesis entitled "An empirical analysis into the underlying components impacting upon business incubation performance of Malaysian ICT incubators".
Upon her PhD completion, she served as a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) at the Faculty of Technology Management and Technopreneurship.
Dr. Fara has supervised undergraduates and postgraduates in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship and been involved in coaching student entrepreneurs in starting up and managing their businesses. She has published in reputed international journals and presented her work at international conferences.
