Professor Patrick Butler
Patrick is a Professor of Marketing, and the Director of MBA Programs at Monash Business School. His influential research on marketing strategy, politics and management has been printed in a number of notable publications – including Marketing Theory, the European Journal of Marketing and the Harvard International Journal of Press/ Politics. He also co-authored Modernising Irish Government: The Politics of Administrative Reform (Gill and Macmillan, Dublin, 2007).
Over the years, Patrick has shared his expertise with people all over the world. As the Associate Dean (Executive MBA Programs) at Melbourne Business School, a lecturer at both Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) and Ulster University (Northern Ireland), a visiting lecturer at Senshu University (Tokyo), and as a presenter across Europe and the USA.
With professional experience spanning the government, banking, pharmaceutical, technology and consumer goods sectors, and an impressive list of high profile positions in major companies, Patrick brings invaluable insight to Monash.
