Professor Richard Hall
Deputy Dean, Leadership and Executive Education
Richard Hall is Professor of Management and Deputy Dean, Leadership and Executive Education at Monash Business School. His BA (Hons) degree in political science and his PhD in Labour Studies were awarded by the University of Queensland.
Prior to joining Monash Business School, Richard was Professor of Work and Organisational Studies and Associate Dean (Executive Management Education) at the University of Sydney Business School. He has held leadership positions in several Group of Eight universities including: Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Sydney; Deputy Director (Operations) and Senior Research Fellow, Australian Centre for Industrial Relations Research and Training, University of Sydney; Research Fellow, Department of Management, University of Melbourne; and Lecturer, Department of Government, University of Queensland.
Richard's areas of expertise lie within the broad field of work and organisation studies, including leadership, new technology and organisational change, the future of work, organisational discourse and industrial relations. He leads executive education programs in these areas, and his research has been widely published internationally. He has extensive experience and strategic understanding of the dynamic executive education and MBA markets, he has broad networks across the corporate and government sectors.
