Professor Richard Hall
Richard Hall is Deputy Dean, Leadership and Executive Education.
Richard was educated at the University of Queensland, where he graduated with a BA (Hons) and subsequently completed his PhD in Labour Studies. Prior to joining Monash Business School in May 2015, Richard was Professor of Work and Organisational Studies and Associate Dean (Executive Management Education) at the University of Sydney Business School.
Richard has held leadership positions in several Group of Eight universities including: Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Sydney; Deputy Director (Operations) and Senior Research Fellow, Australian Centre for Industrial Relations Research and Training, University of Sydney; Research Fellow, Department of Management, University of Melbourne; and Lecturer, Department of Government, University of Queensland.
Richard's areas of expertise lie within the broad field of work and organisation studies, including leadership, new technology and organisational change, the future of work, organisational discourse and industrial relations, and his research has been widely published internationally. He has extensive experience and strategic understanding of the dynamic executive education and MBA markets, and he has broad networks across the corporate and government sectors.
