- Graduated from a well ranked university for your country
- Research publications will be viewed favourably
- Possess excellent written and verbal English skills
If you are applying for a Monash Scholarship you must:
Have completed a 4-year Bachelors degree, or a 2-year Masters degree (or near completed):
- in a field relevant to the Department you are applying to;
- with an average degree and thesis mark equivalent to at least an H1 (First Class Honours; 80%), or the equivalent to an H1 for your institution;
- your degree must include a significant research component of at least 25% of one full time equivalent year of work, including a thesis
If you are applying for entry as Candidature-only (with a non-Monash scholarship):
As above, however, you may still be eligible to apply with an average degree and/or thesis mark equivalent to an H2A (Second Class Honours; 75-79%) (or the equivalent to an H2A for your institution).
