Simon Guttmann is a Senior Consultant at Nous Group, Australia's largest privately held management consulting firm. He has assisted a range of organisations develop strategy and public policy, review business processes, streamline internal functions and improve internal capability. His experience crosses the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and ranges across financial services, economic development, education and training, health and human services.
Simon's professional experiences also includes working for the Victorian Government in New York, with responsibility for attracting foreign direct investment to Victoria and assisting Victorian exporters, and the Reserve Bank of Australia, where he worked as a research economist and as the US, China and India country economist. He has also worked with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (Washington, D.C.) and the Productivity Commission.
Simon completed a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours), Monash University in 1999 and a PhD in economics, Monash University in 2003. He also completed the Washington Semester Program in 2000 at American University, in Washington, D.C.
