Native advertising is a marketing strategy used by a business to promote its brand through an editorial medium (such as Forbes magazine) in a manner that appears seamlessly matched with the editorial content. The advertiser pays the publisher a fee for the content (such as an infographic etc) to be advertised. However, the publisher also benefits because the content of the advertising is more or less similar to any other editorial story the publisher would run. Example In the content below, the advertiser (in this case is IBM) looks like they are contributing the storyline that The Atlantic would anyway publish on their own.Back to previous
