Paul Collier is Deputy Director of the MBA Program at Monash Business School.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree from University Technology Sydney and completed his Master of Commerce degree at the University of New South Wales. His PhD was awarded by Warwick University.
Paul teaches Financial and Managerial Accounting and Business Strategy on the Monash MBA, and supervises projects in strategy and international business.
Paul has been Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of a listed manufacturing company, and Head of Training for a UK police force. Formerly a lecturer at Aston Business School in the UK, at Monash he has been Professor of Accounting, Deputy Head of the Department of Accounting & Finance, and Associate Dean for research training. He has served on the boards of several not-for-profit organisations and has been an examiner for professional accounting bodies in the UK and Australia.
Paul’s research in management control and performance measurement, risk management and governance has been published in Management Accounting Research; Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal; Critical Perspectives on Accounting; and International Journal of Risk Assessment and Management. He is the author of two textbooks; including “Accounting for Managers”, an MBA text used in UK, USA & Canada, now in its fifth edition.
