Interdisciplinary research has the power to provide thoughtful perspectives on the challenging but significant area of Indigenous welfare in Australia.
The Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability is bringing together a range of highly regarded researchers in economics, health, law and Indigenous studies for a Workshop on Indigenous Wellbeing on Wednesday, 17 October.
This one-day workshop will comprise five 45-minute presentations and be followed by a group discussion on developing a policy-focussed interdisciplinary research program.
We invite industry leaders and institutions with expertise in Indigenous issues to join us, to exchange ideas and explore the scope of a research program aimed at contributing new insights into Indigenous welfare in Australia.
Presenters currently include: Mr Ian Trust (Executive Director, Wunan Foundation), Professor Leonie Segal (UNISA), Associate Professor Stefanie Schurer (University of Sydney), Dr Ankita Mishra (RMIT) and Dr Stephen Gray from the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law (Monash University).
