Accounting Week Outstanding Alumni Awards
Accounting Week kicks off on Monday 29 July, with accounting students, undergraduates, postgraduates, professionals and alumni converging on Monash Business School’s campuses for activities and events that run until Thursday 1 August 2019.
Each year the Department of Accounting celebrates and recognises the achievements of its talented alumni through the presentation of Outstanding Alumni Awards – one to an industry practitioner and one to an academic, both of whom have made significant and sustained contributions to the accounting discipline.
Accounting Head of Department, Professor Carla Wilkin, says both winners have contributed substantially to the accounting discipline.
“The Outstanding Alumni Awards are in recognition of exceptional achievement and outstanding success in the accounting field,” she says.
At the Accounting Week launch event, awards will be presented to the winners Kim Langfield-Smith and Warren McGregor.
“We hold this event to promote the profession, engage with industry and alumni, and students studying accounting at school and university,” Professor Wilkin says.
