Monash Business School achieves EQUIS extension and maintains its elite ‘triple accreditation’

22 October 2019

Monash Business School has maintained its elite ‘triple accreditation’ – an exclusive quality indicator reflecting our international reputation and shared by only 88 schools across the globe.

Monash Business School remains the only Group of Eight University within Australia which is ‘triple accredited’ by the three global accrediting bodies: the Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB); EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS); and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).

“The past 12 months has seen an intensive focus on reaccreditation,” says Professor Michaela Rankin, Deputy Dean, International.

“Our commitment to quality outcomes, continuous improvement and effectively telling our story has delivered the best possible outcome - achieving the maximum five-year reaccreditation for all three of our international accreditations.”

The EQUIS accreditation was ratified by the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD) Board in October 2019, the AMBA in September 2019 and AACSB in December 2018.

“Over the course of the EQUIS review it was clear that we had made significant progress over the last five years, particularly in relation to our previous development objectives concerning industry engagement, internationalisation and alumni relations,” says Professor Rankin.

This included a strong research culture and its impact, the implementation of Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability in the School’s culture and the innovative design and strong corporate links of the Monash MBA.

Members of AMBA’s visiting accreditation panel, highlighted the School’s MBA teaching facilities and learning spaces and the mix of theoretical and practical learning within the courses. They also commended Monash Business School’s international study options and our strong links with other top global universities.
