Applying for a Monash University scholarship
If you are applying for a Monash University scholarship, you must have completed a four-year Bachelor's degree, or (at minimum) be near the completion of a two-year Master's degree:
- In a field relevant to the department you are applying to;
- With an average degree and thesis mark equivalent to at least an H1 (First Class Honours; 80%), or the equivalent of an H1 for your institution;
- Your degree must include a significant research component of at least 25% of one full-time equivalent year of work, including a thesis.
Applying for entry as Candidature-only (with a non-Monash scholarship)
You may be eligible to apply with a degree and/or thesis mark equivalent to H2A (Second Class Honours; 70–79%).
English language requirements
Sound English language skills are required for academic programs at Monash University. If your first language is not English (i.e. you originate from a country where English is not the official primary language), then the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements must be satisfied. Applications cannot be considered if you do not meet the English criteria. Please familiarise yourself with Monash University's English language proficiency requirements.
