Introduction to Unix shell and command line interface (2x half-day workshops)
This workshop will introduce the basic principles behind the use of the Unix shell.
The Unix shell is a powerful tool that allows researchers to combine existing programs in new ways to work with data and automate repetitive tasks and workflows. Use of the shell is fundamental to using a wide range of high-performance tools and computing resources, such as Monash’s technology research platforms.
Course Level: Foundational
This workshop is run in two parts, Graduate Research students must attend both sessions to receive credit.
