Students highly commended in international Undergraduate Awards
Three of our students have received a highly commended in the Undergraduate Awards, placing them in the top 10 per cent of submissions worldwide. The Undergraduate Awards are the largest academic awards program in the world, with 5,514 submissions from students at 243 universities across 40 countries this year alone.
Students Ms Jenni Hayward and Mr Lee Nguyen both received a highly commended in the Medical Sciences category, and Ms Anoushka Lal received a highly commended in the Life Sciences category. They are now eligible for a place as one of the top 25 students worldwide in their category, with the winners announced on September 6.
There were 16 students from Monash who received a highly commended this year.
The Undergraduate Awards recognise excellent research and original work across the sciences, humanities, business and creative arts. They aim to celebrate and support the world's brightest and most innovative undergraduate students by recognising the best coursework and projects.
