Let’s talk STEM: Breaking down the barriers to school engagement
6:30pm – 8:00pm
Online live stream only

Current educational and economic trends have emphasised the need for students to develop deeper interdisciplinary understandings in the context of STEM education and greater proficiency with the related skills and capabilities. However, we understand that effectively implementing STEM is not always easy. Simply getting teachers talking about STEM education as well as building a shared understanding of what STEM looks like in your school can be one of the biggest challenges.

At Monash Education, we have created a  series of short videos called ‘Let’s Talk STEM’ where we have brought together a group of eight STEM champions to answer the wicked questions about STEM education. Questions and themes used in this web series have been collected from teachers to explore the current challenges they face in the implementation and integration of STEM education in their schools.

Participants at this workshop will have the opportunity to engage in critical discussion around the key topics that have been addressed in this series and build an understanding of how these resources can be used to encourage conversation in your school.

This STEMinar will also be used to launch the third in the series of four videos.

Please note the University's position and response to the COVID-19 situation: Novel Coronavirus fact sheet.

This event is no longer available for in person attendance, however you are able to register to watch it online via live streaming.
