Description
The #MeToo movement has raised awareness about the prevalence and impact of sexual violence. In the criminal justice system and online, the movement has resulted in an increase in victims coming forward, but not necessarily an increase in convictions.
So, what has changed since the #MeToo movement began? What structural, cultural and legal changes still need to be addressed to move us towards a world free of sexual violence?
Join us online as our panel of esteemed experts from across the Faculties of Arts, Education and Law discuss the intersections between the toxic cultures that can permeate in young people and schools, how this impacts on sexual, gendered and technology-facilitated violence, and the challenges associated with legal, social and cultural change.
About the Humanities Series
