Wellbeing & Engagement for Teachers

This one-day program is designed specifically to boost and enhance teacher wellbeing through the practical application of both knowledge-based understanding of human behaviour concepts (such as the 6 core needs) and engaging, simple and powerful wellbeing tools and activities (such as breathwork) to reduce stress and anxiety, and boost feelings of wellness. Many of the concepts taught can be taken directly into the classroom and will help teachers to understand theirs, parents’ and students’ behaviour in deeper and more profound ways, building connection to self and others.

Drawing from non-clinical human behaviour principals, this workshop delves into why we do the weird things that we (and our students) do - including taming that ranting self-talk that steals joy and confidence - so that we can be empowered to make different decisions, rather than feeling trapped on the treadmill.

Deep impact and fun will combine in this engaging day of learning and transformation.

Topics covered

  • 6 Core needs of humans
  • Self-talk and I am statements & pre-lunch review of learnings
  • Heartfulness and learning to breathe – learning from trials and tribulations from day (becoming your own teacher)
  • Deductive/inductive thinking - asking better questions means getting better results in the classroom
  • Wrap up and review of learnings, take aways and lightbulb moments

Samantha has more than 30 years’ experience as a secondary school music/performing arts teacher and community musician.

Over the last 10 years Samantha has developed a passion for human behaviour; focusing on how mindset affects teachers and students alike.

And now, as a coach with Confidence Hackers, she helps teachers, students and ‘normal people’ move through their life struggles, uncover their potential to grow and create lives of their own design.

In today's world where so much is demanded from our teachers, how we care for ourselves is more important than ever. For who takes care of our students when the teachers are struggling?
