Hosted by Margaret Rendell, OHS Consultant.This session looks at the potential hazards faced by engineering students conducting research. It is essential for students to complete this course prior to commencing their research projects. The importance of systematic risk management is emphasised, and the risk management procedure used at Monash is outlined. The session incorporates a workshop where Monash's risk management documentation process is used to risk manage an example project.
Please note: Students need to sign in and out of the session as this training course is recorded in your myDevelopment site. HR will be updating your attendance once the course is completed successfully.
Faculty specific requirement: HDR students are required to provide evidence of completion of the mandatory Faculty run OH &S training on Student Project Safety (Risk Management) or this course and all mandatory department run OH&S training and inductions during their Confirmation Seminar. Please keep your Certificates of Attendance safe.
Target audience: Faculty of Engineering PhD and MEngSc(Res) students from all Departments.
This course is for new Engineering HDR students who have recently enrolled. If you have attended this session before, then there is no need for you to attend again.
