Monash University Clayton Campus
Tips for public transport:
- If you have a class in Caulfield and you need to get there from Clayton, or vice versa, take the shuttle bus! It is free for holders of a valid Monash student card and, depending on the time and traffic, will get you there in under half an hour! It does get really busy at peak times in the semester, however, so be prepared to find yourself standing if you can't get to the stop a little earlier.
- Although there is a Clayton station on the Cranbourne, Dandenong and Pakenham lines, the quickest and easiest way to get to the Clayton Campus is to get off at Huntingdale, which is the stop before. Then all you have to is cross the road and take the 601 Shuttle Bus straight to the campus! Simple!
- There is currently one Myki machine on Clayton campus, located in the bus loop, and it can get awfully busy. To ensure you don't miss your bus, it is a good idea to keep your myki topped up, either through the auto top up system, which you can set up through the PTV website, or a station with more myki machines. You can also top up your myki on board, but it often depends on the bus you are catching.
- If you are an international student, you will not be eligible for a concession myki card. However, make sure you check out whether your eligible for a for an iUse travel pass, which will allow you to travel across the Melbourne public transport network for cheaper than a full fare ticket.
