David Mendoza completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of the Philippines –  Los Baños in Laguna, Philippines. In  August 2018,  he started his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Monash University.  As part of the ARC Research Hub for Processing Lignocellulosics into High-Value Products (PALS), he is developing nanocellulose gels from functionalized nanocelluloses for value applications. David is working under the supervision of Prof. Gil Garnier and Prof. George Simon.
