Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Association

About the association

The Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Association (CEPA) is a student-run organisation looking to strengthen bonds between all postgraduates and academic staff in the department, through a mixture of both social and educational means.

With more than 160 postgraduate students studying Chemical Engineering at Monash, these organised departmental events aid in internal networking by helping to bring students from different research groups together. Although the fortnightly TGIF meetings are always highly anticipated, it is the annual calendar events such as industrial site visits, directed talks from both academic staff and industrial representatives, and our annual CEPA Conference, that tend to generate the most excitement from staff and students alike.

The CEPA Committee

At present, the CEPA Committee comprises 22 postgraduate students from a range of research groups, operating in three sub-committee teams, each of which are headed by two vice president students. CEPA meets once a month to discuss potential ideas for the CEPA calendar, and to allocate roles and tasks to ensure upcoming events run smoothly.
