ECSE Higher Degree by Research (Masters and PhD)
Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering field of research database for Higher Degree by Research (Masters and PhD) applicants
Most of our research students commence initially in the Master of Engineering Science (Research) degree as a pathway to the PhD program. Entry into the Masters program requires a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honours 1, 2A or 2B from a recognised tertiary institution. Upon successful completion of the first 12 months of the Master of Engineering Science (Research), candidates may upgrade to the PhD, with the first 12 months of candidature being credited to the PhD. Please note we also have direct entry to the PhD program for applicants who meet the academic criteria of completion of a Master of Engineering (Research) from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum equivalent grade of H2A.
