The Master of Advanced Engineering is designed to extend your knowledge in your chosen specialisation and advance your leadership and complex problem-solving skills in a cross-cultural environment.

Entry requirements

The Monash Master of Advanced Engineering is Australia’s only advanced engineering master’s degree. It’s open only to those who have already completed a full undergraduate engineering qualification.

Structure and duration

The Master of Advanced Engineering is offered as a one-year program (1 year full time or 2 years part time), or a two-year program (2 years full time or 4 years part time).

Entrants to the one-year program must complete 48 credit points as follows:

12 credit points

2 x Common Core units

24 credit points

4 x Discipline Core units

12 credit points

2 x Enhancement units

Entrants to the two-year program must complete 96 credit points as follows:

12 credit points

2 x Common Core units

24 credit points

4 x Discipline Core units

12 credit points

2 x Enhancement units

24 credit points

4 x Technical elective units

24 credit points

4 x Project units
