Startup Law Clinic
STARTUP LAW CLINIC
The Startup Law Clinic at Monash University is a legal centre that provides free advice and assistance to the Monash startup and entrepreneurship community on legal matters relating to starting and running a company.
The Startup Law Clinic is run by the Faculty of Law where penultimate/final year and graduate law students work under the supervision of a qualified, practicing solicitor. Clients (aka early stage teams and companies associated with Monash University or the Generator) can request an initial consultation and a clinic student will manage the client, from initial discussion through to the completion of the engagement.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Current Monash students, staff or researchers and Monash Alumni (who have been engaged in a Generator Program) are eligible to access advice from the Monash Startup Law Clinic. Once you submit an enquiry, the Monash Startup Law Clinic will conduct an initial check on the scope of work, any potential client conflicts and the capacity of the clinic. Whilst the clinic will endeavour to support your enquiry, it is not guaranteed as it is a limited service.
