Get On Your Bike This October

27 September 2016

RTW October

It is that time of year again were the weather is getting warmer and people are getting back on their bikes.  National Ride2Work Day, held on 12 October 2016, is the largest celebration of commuter riding in Australia. Monash University is a proud supporter of Ride2Work Day, celebrating the benefits of riding and brings the Monash community together.  It helps people who have never ridden to work before to give it a go, and it allows frequent riders to stay motivated and encourage their workmates to get involved.

On the day bring your bike or helmet to the event for some free treats including: fruit, muffins, puncture repair kits, mudguards, coffee cups and water bottles. At Clayton, the MSA Bikery will also be providing free bike checks.  You can say hello to other cyclists, chat about cycling to Monash, or boast about all of the benefits of cycling like :

*Saving money
*Avoiding traffic congestion
*Keeping fit
*And helping the environment

If you are participating in the 10,000 steps challenge you can log your ride to work activities too!
