A candidate must be a student member of Monash University Malaysia under regulation 12(1)(c)(vii) of the Monash University (Council) Regulations, and must meet the relevant criteria in the Monash University Academic Board – Election Procedures:
If you are undergraduate student of Monash University Malaysia, a person must:
- during the calendar year in which the election is held either:
- a) be enrolled at an Malaysia campus or Malaysia teaching location at no less than 0.5 equivalent full-time student load (EFTSL); or
- b) been granted an intermission from a course of study at the Malaysia campus or Malaysia teaching location pursuant to regulation 70 of the Monash University (Council) Regulations; or
- c) a combination of a) and b); and
- If also an employee of Monash University Malaysia, not hold a continuing or fixed-term appointment exceeding 0.5 equivalent full-time EFT).
If you are coursework graduate student or higher degree by research student of Monash University Malaysia, a person must:
- a) be enrolled at the Malaysia campus or Malaysia teaching location at no less than 0.5 equivalent full-time student load (EFTSL or equivalent); or
- b) be granted an intermission from a course of study at the Malaysia pursuant to regulation 70 of the Monash University (Council) Regulations; or
- c) a combination of a) and b); and
- if also an employee of Monash University Malaysia, not hold a continuing or fixed-term appointment exceeding 0.5 equivalent full-time (EFT).
Nominators and voters must be students enrolled at Monash University Malaysia.
