Exclusion for Safety Reasons
Students of Monash University may be suspended, excluded or refused re-enrolment from the University if they present a serious risk to the:
- property of the University
- health or safety of others or themselves.
Right to appeal
If you receive such a notice, you remain enrolled in order to exercise your right to appeal, but you are not able to attend the University.
If you wish to appeal the decision, you must do so within 20 working days (40 days in exceptional circumstances) of receiving the notice of exclusion. Details of how to appeal are provided in the notice, as well as the reason for the decision.
If you're not satisfied with the outcome of the appeal can seek review by the Victorian Ombudsman.
