Eligibility and enrolment

Who is eligible?

You can enrol in the MIG unit, and start your industry project in January 2024, if you:

  • are enrolled in an eligible degree (check the list below),
  • have completed at least 24 credit points of level one study, and
  • have at least 6 points of elective credit available.

If you satisfy the above requirements, you can enrol in the MIG via WES.

This unit is open to second and third-year students, and we welcome enrolments directly into the unit.

1 If you intend to seek professional accreditation in Accounting or Actuarial studies, you may not be able to fit MIG into your course progression.

2 If you intend to major in Interactive media, you may not be able to fit MIG into your course progression.

3 If you intend to apply for the Industry Based Learning (IBL) program, you may not be able to fit MIG into your course progression.

4 Single degree students (all specialisations except Biomedical engineering) can use one of their two free electives at Level 2 to fit MIG into your course progression.

5If you intend to specialise in Informatics, you may not be able to fit MIG into your course progression.

MIG does not count towards the science component of your double degree.

How to enrol?

You can enrol in the MIG unit through WES, from August – Friday 8 December 2023, 5pm.
