Graduate Research Committee
The Graduate Research Committee (GRC) is a university-wide body responsible for:
- advising Academic Board on all doctoral and research master's degree policy matters such as admission, variation to candidature, examination, supervision, academic progress, and research scholarships and awards; and
- approving all new graduate research courses, units and programs, and amendments to existing degrees.
The primary concerns of the GRC are to encourage excellence in research and timely completion of doctoral and research master's theses.
The Committee is supported by staff from within the Monash Graduate Research Office and many of the day-to-day activities and approvals of the Graduate Research Committee have been delegated to the Academic Director, Graduate Research.
In submitting a proposal to the GRC, please ensure your submission is accompanied by a Submission Executive Summary.
