Fees and funding
Funding: key information
Australian domestic students should apply to Monash and UK/ Home and EU students should apply to Warwick. If you are an international student outside of these countries you should apply to the University at which you wish to start your course.
Applicants who are selected for the joint PhD may qualify for local scholarships. These students, may be allocated a mobility grant to support their travel between the institutions. UK students awarded a place with a Warwick scholarship may also be provided with top-up funds to match the level of the government scholarships awarded to Australian candidates.
From year to year there may be a limited number of full Alliance scholarships available for highly ranked candidates in each round whose projects align with the objectives of the Monash-Warwick Alliance. These scholarships will provide a stipend and help fund travel between the institutions.
A limited number of students who are offered places in the joint PhD and who have secured a scholarship, may be allocated a mobility grant to support their travel between the institutions. UK students awarded one of these places with a Warwick scholarship may also be provided with a top-up to match the level of the government scholarships awarded to Australian candidates.
Other students may be awarded places on the program but will be expected to supplement any other scholarship support (or self-funded support) with additional funds won through competition for standard travel grants (Monash students).
