Welcome to Monash Indonesia.
We are the first ever international University to establish in Indonesia, with the full support of both the Australian and Indonesian governments. We’re building on a long and proud relationship, where Monash has graduated more Indonesian citizens than any other university outside Indonesia.
As a truly global university, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region, our goal is to build the strength and scale of our esteemed international research and education to respond to the issues and opportunities of our region and our world.
Just as we strive to change the world for good through our academic endeavours, we seek to make a strong and distinctive contribution to Indonesia’s social, economic and technological development.
As Australia’s largest and most international university, Monash facilitates the flow of innovative ideas, technology and talent between Indonesia, Australia and the region at large. With a campus in Jakarta, the economic heart of the region, Monash will make even stronger and deeper connections across our dynamic network of campuses in Malaysia, Suzhou and Mumbai.
We now seek outstanding, globally-focused and impactful leaders who wish to have lasting and rewarding careers with Monash. We also invite existing Monash staff the opportunity to expand their horizons.
We invite you to join us in being part of the foundations of the Monash Indonesia campus.
President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Margaret Gardner AC
Thanks for your interest in Monash Indonesia.
Amidst the world-wide turbulence caused by the COVID virus, the Monash Indonesia story is one of optimism and opportunity. This is an exceptionally exciting and truly path-breaking endeavour. Through our world class research and teaching operations, we will make a truly powerful impact on Indonesia’s further development. Among the world’s top 100 universities, Monash stands out in part because of its great success in developing a successful network of campuses in other countries, notably in Malaysia. But it’s bold ambition to change the world for good with our renowned research impact truly sets Monash apart.
We’re looking for gifted scholars from Indonesia and around the world whose eyes light up at the possibility of applying their expertise to address major research challenges and to create exceptional learning opportunities in the high demand areas of data science, urban design, public policy and business innovation.
This is your opportunity to be part of building a new university and to live in the swirling energy and excitement of the modern metropolis that is Jakarta and the wider magical charm of Indonesia’s cultural diversity.
Join us in setting the path to great things.
Pro Vice-Chancellor and President (Indonesia), Professor Andrew MacIntyre
