Takeda – gastrointestinal diseases and disorders

A three-year strategic alliance between the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Takeda) based in Japan, to develop new medicines to address significant unmet medical needs in gastroenterology.

MIPS and Takeda scientists are working together to research the mechanisms that underlie some of the common and debilitating GI disorders that afflict millions of people worldwide. They aim to develop new and highly innovative approaches for treatment, potentially leading to powerful therapies for digestive  and sensory diseases.
