Hate crime, violent crime, cybercrime - these are some of the criminal concerns you will develop specialist knowledge in by studying a Monash Bachelor of Criminology. You will look at real-world problems of crime and justice and develop solutions as well as look at crime through a range of lenses and examine its complexity and society's understanding and responses. Come along and hear from academics and students and get your questions answered.

Associate Professor Rebecca Wickes

Rebecca Wickes is an Associate Professor in Criminology and the Director for the Monash Migration and Inclusion Centre at the School of Social Sciences, Monash University. She is the lead investigator of the Australian Community Capacity Study, a multi-million, multisite, longitudinal study of place. Dr Wickes’ research focuses on physical and demographic changes in urban communities and their influence on social relationships, inclusion and the concentration of social problems, in particular crime, social exclusion and public disorder.

Dr Wickes was awarded the ANZSOC New Scholar of the Year Prize and received an ARC Discovery Early Career Research Award from 2012 through to 2015. She has supervised numerous honours and PhD students to completion.
