The Joint PhD

Spread over the traditional duration of three years, the joint PhD allows you to study at two innovative and internationally renowned institutions.

You will undertake research in areas that are current and of real global importance.

Guided by academics at both Warwick and Monash, you will be able to carry out work of the highest calibre, in the company of an elite group of academics and postgraduate researchers.

As well as producing an outstanding contribution to your field of research, you will engage in personal, professional and academic training delivered by colleagues with expert knowledge of the demands of the global job market.

People and research areas

The Monash Warwick Alliance has many areas of ongoing research collaboration including Sustainability, Culture and Society, Health Research and Innovation. New areas of collaboration are still being developed and you are encouraged to visit the relevant Department/Faculty research pages to see specific areas of research strength and to identify a main supervisor at both Monash and Warwick universities.

At Monash, the faculties of ScienceMedicine, Nursing and Health SciencesArtsEngineeringInformation Technology and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences are all registered providers of the joint PhD.

At Warwick, the Faculties of Science (including Information Technology and Engineering), Arts and Social Sciences along with the Warwick Medical School are all registered providers of the joint PhD.
