Formerly the Technical Area Lead at NASA Ames Research Center, he’s received extensive recognition including two 10-year research impact awards and the CEO Magazine's 2019 Education Executive of the Year award.

A recipient of the Google AI Impact Challenge, Professor Buntine is known for his theoretical and applied work, probabilistic methods for document and text analysis, social networks, data mining and machine learning. He’s supported many high-profile organisations such as Google and the NASA Ames Research Centre, as well as Wall Street and Silicon Valley startups.
Dr Catherine Lopes
Head of Advanced Analytics at AGL Energy
Dr Catherine is an industry leader and educator in big data, machine learning and analytical management. She has published extensively in these research areas and lent her expertise to major companies such as SAS, ANZ and PwC.
