Monash University Faculty of Information Technology is delighted Professor Chris Bain, Digital Health Group Lead, has joined a new national network to champion digital health throughout hospitals and healthcare organisations.
The network will provide forums and channels for knowledge sharing that supports improved patient care.
Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) and the Australian College of Health Informatics (ACHI) launched the Chief X Information Officer (CXIO) Network on Friday 18 May, in partnership with the Australian Digital Health Agency.
Monash IT Digital Health Group Lead Professor Chris Bain said the digital disruption of healthcare is a tremendous opportunity to transform the way we deliver healthcare in the 21st Century.
"The CXIO network is a unique opportunity for clinicians interested in digital health to both learn from, and teach, their peers, in this sector. More importantly, as we move forward, it’ll be a critical factor in the transformation of healthcare in Australia," Professor Bain said.
The CXIO is a specialised forum for clinical leaders in digital health to share information, collaborate and be part of Australia’s digital health movement.
It comprises of clinical leaders, informaticians, managers, decision-makers and influencers who are committed to the transformation of the health system through digital health.
