Monash welcomes graduates from Southeast University

Congratulations to the fourth cohort of students to graduate from our Southeast University (SEU) - Monash University Joint Graduate School in Suzhou, China.

Nearly 200 students celebrated their accomplishments including 40 awarded the Master of Information Technology Systems.

The Faculty of IT was the first Monash Faculty to offer a joint Masters degree at SEU in Suzhou, and now six joint Masters degrees from many faculties are running.

The Dean of IT, Professor Jon Whittle (pictured), attended the ceremony and congratulated the new graduates.

“We are extremely proud of our graduates and the joint Masters degree program at SEU. Together we are preparing students for the professions of the future in a rapidly changing field of work, equipping them for longstanding careers in IT,” the Dean said.

“As well as growing the Master's program, we are looking forward to furthering our partnership including education and research opportunities with Southeast University in the future.”
