Undergraduate Awards
Undergraduate Dux
Awarded to the top graduating student in each of the Faculty's undergraduate degrees (Bachelor of Business Information Systems, Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Computer Science Advanced (Honours), Bachelor of Informatics and Computation Advanced (Honours), Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems, Bachelor of Software Engineering).
Dux of Undergraduate Honours
Awarded to the student(s) with the best overall results in one of the Faculty's honours programs.
Professor Cliff Bellamy Awards
Offered annually to to highest achieving Faculty of IT undergraduate students in first and second year. Students must have completed 24 points of first or second year study in that calendar year. Awarded at the discretion of the Faculty.
Dean's Achievement awards (undergraduate)
Awarded to the top 10 (non-Bellamy) Undergraduate students in the Faculty, who achieved a minimum 90% average for units studied that year (with a minimum of 24 points studied across the full academic year).
Postgraduate Awards
Postgraduate Dux
Awarded to the top graduating student in each of the Faculty's postgraduate coursework Masters degrees (Master of Applied Information Technology, Master of Business Information Systems (including MBIS Prof), Master of Data Science, Master of Information Technology (including MIT Prof), Master of Networks and Security.
Dux of Postgraduate Honours
Awarded to the top graduating student in the Faculty's Masters (Honours) programs.
Dean's Achievement awards (postgraduate)
Awarded to the top 5 postgraduate students in the Faculty with a minimum high distinction average (minimum 24 points studied across the full academic year).
Unit Awards
Noel Craske Award
Awarded to the student with the highest result in the Faculty in FIT1004 Data management.
CommBank Cyber Prize
Awarded to the student with the highest result in the Faculty in FIT3031 Information and network security
Knowledge Management Excellence Award
Awarded to the student with the highest result in the Faculty in a knowledge management unit in the Faculty
SAP User Group Prize
Awarded to the student with the highest result in the Faculty in FIT5101 Enterprise systems
Graduate Research Awards
Faculty of IT Doctoral Medal
Awarded to the best research in a Faculty of IT PhD thesis.
Penny Fisher Memorial Award
Awarded to the student with outstanding archives and records research thesis (Masters, HDR or PhD)
