|Short-listed applicants to “meet” with prospective research supervisors|
|October||Notification of success (subject to satisfactory exam results)|
|Briefing session for successful MURPA participants|

|Begin Travel Quotes and Visa Application process|
|November||Target date for Visa Receipt and finalisation of itineraries|
|December - January||Students fly out|
|January - February||MURPA research projects|
|March||Back at Monash for honours|
Note 1: Feel free to register and submit forms and research proposals prior to these dates. Especially for research proposals, Monash MURPA research mentors will be available to assist you and provide feedback prior to the closing date.
Note 2: Successful MURPA applicants are encouraged to travel earlier, say between Christmas and New Year, to give themselves some free time to settle in and do sightseeing before the real work on their research projects begins.
Note 3: MURPA is not just about an exciting opportunity to do research. It is also a great opportunity to experience another culture and lifestyle.
