Online webinar
Tuesday, 07 December 2021
1 pm - 7 pm (AEDT)

Join a national conversation on sustainable energy transition

Australia is leading the world as the fastest nation to install renewable energy per capita. But achieving the country’s commitment to Net Zero 2050 – and the short-term 2030 target of reducing carbon emissions by 50% – requires a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.

The Monash Energy Institute is hosting the annual State of Energy Research Conference (SoERC 2021) which will:

  • showcase the latest developments in interdisciplinary renewable energy research
  • explore pathways to address sustainable and fair energy transition
  • identify potential collaborations among university researchers and industry research partners.

Dr Ross Gawler (Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence) and Dr Larissa Nicholls (Department of Human-Centred Computing) from the Faculty of IT are among the eminent guest speakers who will be presenting over the three jam-packed days.

Visit the SoERC 2021 website to register for the conference, view the full program and read the welcome message from Chairman of the conference – Professor Ariel Liebman.
