Monash eSolutions

eSolutions provides a full range of IT support services for all staff and students at Monash University. We partner with the Academic and Data Technology Services sub division at eSolutions to contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and assessment platforms to better meet student values and needs, as well as research human-centric methods and tools to effectively and efficiently support these efforts.

Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI)

The Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI) is a key partnership between Monash Health and Monash University. MCHRI has created a number of evidence-based ehealth apps for consumers and health professionals. We partner with MCHRI to research and develop improved ehealth apps that are highly engaging and aligned with patient values and needs, and study human-centric methods and tools to support the creation of apps.

PROTIC II is a collaboration between Monash Faculty of IT and Oxfam, driven by a $2.15M donation

Pen CS

PenCS is the market leader in patient to population health informatics technology solutions in primary care. The PenCS ecosystem includes more than 6,100 general practices with over 22 million patient records. We are collaborating with this partner to improve vaccination status tracking for COVID-19 in Australia, and test the use of SMS to improve bowel cancer screening.

Oxfam Bangladesh

Oxfam is working to create a vibrant and equitable society across Bangladesh, where women and men are empowered, jointly exercising leadership and good governance towards building resilient communities. Our lab is partnering with Oxfam on two projects which aim to ensure the rights of fisherfolks and supporting domestic workers. In this collaboration, we’re particularly focused on diverse user needs arising from the socio economic statuses of these communities to help design software that meets their requirements.

weExplore Center

weExplore is a volunteer-led not-for-profit organisation run by health professionals, physicians, registered nurses and health educators. It advocates for eight lifestyle principles that are represented with NEWSTART – Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest and Trust. We’re working with weExplore to develop an adaptive UI that can be customised based on user personas.

Alfred Health

The Alfred Hospital is a leading tertiary teaching hospital and the second oldest hospital in Victoria. Our lab has applied and assessed a tool developed on real-world, large-scale applications with teams from Alfred Health. BiDaML brings all stakeholders around one tool to specify, model and document their big data applications.

THNK.innovation

THNK.innovation is a Melbourne-based agency that specialises in human-centred design, training and consulting. We’re partnering with this company to develop a prototype of an integrated learning experience platform for Silicon Beach Australia – a not-for-profit community that empowers startup founders across the country. The focus of this project is on enabling Silicon Beach community members to share and integrate training resources into online training courses easily.

An independent research and advocacy organisation for companies, focusing on driving change through applied research, pragmatic guidance, and building networks of individuals and organisations.

Dnet

A Bangladesh based social enterprise, works to develop innovative solutions, and implement development projects that benefit women, children, and adolescents through research and technology in various sectors (Health, Education, Livelihood, Business and Entrepreneurship, Governance, Environment, etc). We envision a society where information and knowledge facilitate the participation of all stakeholders for generation of wealth and its equitable distribution for poverty alleviation

CSIRO Data61

We collaborate with several Data61 researchers including Prof Jon Whittle, Dr Liming Zhu, Dr Qinghua Lu, Dr Waqar Hussain, Dr Zhenchang Xing and Dr Rifat Shams on values-oriented software engineering and mobile software engineering. This includes techniques and tools for identifying human values during requirements engineering; detecting values violations in mobile apps; approaches to fixing values problems in software; app analysis to identify human-centric defects; and approaches to more responsible software engineering for society.

Healthmetrics

Healthmetrics develops software for a wide range of care industries, including aged and disability care. We have been collaborating with Healthmetrics as a partner of our ARC Industry Transformation Research Hub for Digital Enhanced Living. Projects have included large scale-data analysis for point of care, workforce analysis and management, and improved user interfaces for next-generation care management systems.
