Human-centric eHealth portals

The use of eHealth web portals is rapidly increasing with the heavy demand for eHealth services and established benefits of health-related software. Unfortunately, most of these applications underestimate and even ignore human-centric issues – resulting in a system that is not fit for purpose.

This emphasises the importance of allowing for diverse end user characteristics, such as age, gender, culture, occupation and cognitive impairment, when designing eHealth web portals.

In this project, we conducted studies to understand users' human-centric needs, designed human-centric web-portals and evaluated them with user studies.
