Apply for a scholarship
All existing students within the Faculty of IT who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders are eligible to apply for one of the following scholarships:

Information Technology Indigenous Merit Scholarship
Valued at up to $16K and awarded to Indigenous students who can demonstrate strong academic achievement.

Faculty of IT Indigenous Study Support Scholarship
Valued at up to $15K and awarded to disadvantaged students studying an undergraduate or postgraduate IT degree.

Connect with Aunty Di, our Elder in Residence
A Yorta-Yorta/Wemba-Wemba elder with connections to the Taungurung people, Aunty Diane Singh is the William Cooper Institute’s Elder in Residence. With a long history in Indigenous education, Aunty Di supports Monash students who want to engage with the local community or discover more about their ancestry.

Speak to a counsellor
Monash offers a free, confidential counselling service for all students.
So if you’re facing a mental health condition, battling an addiction, struggling to cope with study or dealing with other issues – don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our counsellors.

Get the Mpal app
The William Cooper Institute has created the Mpal app to provide you with 24/7 access to services and resources. With this app, you will be able to:
- access 24/7 phone counselling and book appointments.
- find emergency services on and off-campus.
- request an on-campus security escort.
- find security shuttle bus locations.
- report incidents or problem behaviour.
- get quick access to support services.
