Facilities

Our facilities are world leading

At Monash, you’ll be able to start your research immediately.

To support your work, you’ll also have access to high-end display facilities for visualisation and collaboration – such as the Monash CAVE2. This 2D and 3D virtual reality environment features an 84-megapixel stereoscopic curved display cylinder.

Then, there’s the Future Control Room. This room captures and displays heterogeneous real-time (streaming) data sets on a 37-megapixel wall.

Another favourite is The Glasshouse – a visualisation and interaction space with a moveable display wall, VR-capable PC, head-mounted display and area for free movement in virtual reality.

A purpose-built facility – in Australia's technology hub

Home to more than half of Australia's technology companies, Melbourne is Australia's technology hub.

Our researchers are based at both our Caulfield and Clayton campuses – and in May 2020, we will unveil a new high-tech, state-of-the-art building at Clayton.

What's more, this campus sits at the heart of Melbourne's Innovation Precinct. This will make it easy for you to collaborate with industry and research partners in manufacturing, resources, engineering and health.
