The Institute of Vector-Borne Disease (IVBD) is a world-class research institute based at Monash University’s Clayton campus in Melbourne, Australia. Led by Prof Cameron Simmons, the IVBD spearheads the University’s research efforts to eliminate diseases such as dengue fever and Zika, which represent significant public health concerns worldwide.
The IVBD’s flagship research program is the World Mosquito Program, a global not-for-profit initiative working to reduce the threat of dengue, Zika and chikungunya in 12 countries around the world.
