Pride Month 2022: Screening of “Welcome To Chechnya” by Eleos Justice
To mark Pride Month 2022, Kaleidoscope Human Rights Foundation and Eleos Justice invite you to a screening of Welcome to Chechnya at the brand-new Pride Centre in St Kilda. Connect with fellow advocates and allies at the pre-screening canapés and drinks reception.
Around the world, LGBTQ persons continue to face discrimination, persecution and violence at the hands of the state. In 2017, authorities in Russia's Chechen Republic commenced a systematic ‘gay purge’ campaign of unimaginable brutality. The harrowing realities of this violence are unveiled in Welcome to Chechnya, an award-winning documentary film that exposes the truth and showcases the extraordinary efforts of those who fought against it.
This Pride Month, join Kaleidoscope Human Rights Foundation and Eleos Justice for a special screening of Welcome to Chechnya at the brand-new Pride Centre in St Kilda. Connect with fellow advocates and allies at the pre-screening reception, then experience this groundbreaking work of humanitarian filmmaking.
Kaleidoscope Human Rights Foundation and Eleos Justice thank DLA Piper and Herbert Smith Freehills for their generous support of this event.
100% of ticket sales will go towards supporting Kaleidoscope Human Rights Foundation and Eleos Justice in their research and advocacy work.
Please note that this event is 18+ only. The film has been classified MA15+ and contains strong themes and sexual violence.
